The 1952 Chevy was introduced on January 19, 1952. The big event for 1952 was the introduction of the 1952 Chevrolet Convertible with 10 new body colors and 10 new top colors. All of the 1952 Chevrolet Convertibles were trimmed the same as all Deluxe models. As styling became more important to the Chevy customers, Chevrolet changed the grille to a simple center bar that had some teeth and redesigned parking lights. There were very little changes made to the reliable six cylinder engines installed on all 1952 Chevy’s including the convertible.

The change was minimal and the basic appearance was the same as the very popular 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Convertible. However, major changes were in the works for the 1953 Chevrolet and 1954 Chevrolet Convertibles.
